Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all registrations, attendees, volunteers, and participants at events operated by SCCP Events ("the Company"). By submitting a registration or attending an event, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About the event
1.1 The Children's Christmas Party is an annual event delivered by SCCP Events, providing a safe and enjoyable Christmas experience for children with complex needs and their families.
1.2 Events are held across multiple Australian cities. Each event is subject to these Terms & Conditions in addition to any event-specific information provided at the time of registration.
2. Registration
2.1 Registrations must be submitted through the Company's invitation portal as directed by the Company.
2.2 Registrations for children must be completed by an authorised school, care provider or organisation representative on behalf of the child. The Company does not accept registrations submitted directly by parents, carers and children.
2.3 Where a school, care provider or organisation submits registrations on behalf of families, that school or organisation confirms it has obtained appropriate consent from the relevant parent or guardian prior to submitting personal information to the Company.
2.4 Registrations are subject to availability. Receipt of a registration does not guarantee attendance until confirmation has been issued by the Company.
2.5 The Company reserves the right to decline or cancel a registration at its discretion, including where an event has reached capacity or where the Company reasonably determines that attendance may not be in the best interests of the child or other attendees.
3. Attendance
3.1 All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent, guardian or carer) at all times during the event unless otherwise specified in event-specific information.
3.2 Attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and considerate manner. The Company reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the event, any person whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate or poses a risk to the safety or enjoyment of others.
3.3 The Company takes the safety and wellbeing of all attendees seriously. Events are designed with accessibility and sensory considerations in mind.
4. Photography and media
4.1 The Company may arrange for photography and/or videography at events for use in promotional materials, social media, annual reporting and other communications.
4.2 By attending the event, you consent to photographs or video footage being taken that may incidentally include you or your child.
4.3 If you do not wish for you or your child to be photographed or filmed, please request a Yellow “No Photo” sticker upon entry.
5. Personal information
5.1 Personal information collected during the registration process is handled in accordance with the Company's Privacy Policy, available at sccpau.com.au/privacypolicy.
5.2 Registration data is collected and managed through EventsAir, a platform operated by Centium Software Pty Ltd. Data is stored in Australia on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for full details.
6. Cancellations and changes
6.1 If you are unable to attend after registering, please click the link in your email to cancel, so your place can be offered to another family.
6.2 The Company reserves the right to reschedule, relocate or cancel an event due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to extreme weather, venue issues, or public health requirements. In the event of a cancellation, registered attendees will be notified as soon as practicable.
6.3 The Company is not liable for any costs incurred by attendees as a result of a cancellation or change to an event, including travel or accommodation expenses.
7. Liability
7.1 The Company takes all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of attendees at its events. However, attendance is at the participant's own risk and the Company accepts no liability for any loss, injury or damage sustained at or in connection with the event, except to the extent required by law.
7.2 The Company holds public liability insurance appropriate to the events it operates.
